During the containerization process we use only ISPM15 (bug stamp certified) blocking and bracing materials. When in place this helps to maintain proper lengthwise and crosswise weight distribution. This procedure also helps to prevent cargo vibration or shifting, damaging doors, the nose, and the container walls during transit; or even from falling out when the doors are opened. Those involved in receiving cargo at any Port Facility are very adamant about checking it for packing flaws and unsafe shipping characteristics.
