When you are shipping crates and cargo across the ocean, it is imperative that it is planned and loaded correctly to ensure proper weight distribution.  Adequate blocking and bracing of cargo is a key factor to avoiding in-transit shifting. A damaged piece of cargo can potentially cost you millions of dollars, not to mention wasted time.  Airpack’s in-depth knowledge of properly blocking and bracing ocean containers makes us a viable choice for this important step in ocean shipping. Airpack offers container blocking & bracing for 20 ft or 40 ft ocean containers.

During the containerization process we use only ISPM15 (bug stamp certified) blocking and bracing materials.  When in place this helps to maintain proper lengthwise and crosswise weight distribution. This procedure also helps to prevent cargo vibration or shifting, damaging doors, the nose, and the container walls during transit; or even from falling out when the doors are opened. Those involved in receiving cargo at any Port Facility are very adamant about checking it for packing flaws and unsafe shipping characteristics. This process is critical for safe container shipping methods and to prevent your cargo from being “bumped”.

Feel free to contact an Airpack representative for your blocking and bracing needs.
