Get in touch with us for whatever questions, concerns, or needs you may feel necessary with us, and we will do our best to answer those questions to the best of our abilities!

About Us

We have been an industry leader since 1986. How have we achieved this? We’ve successfully combined numerous services into one total supreme package. The services we provide which we will go into more detail later in this blog, include packing, training, and consulting, all of which have to do with the transportation of dangerous goods or hazardous materials. We will handle the packing, marking, labeling, and documentation of cargo, making sure to stay current on the latest industry regulations for you. As we have also maintained our status as pioneers in the industry, we have helped clients discover and implement the best ways to deal with a variety of issues that come up, such as undocumented shipments, hazardous materials (known as hazmat), and military specification packing (aka mil-spec).. All of these are supply chain logistical challenges that must be met and overcome.

For the past 30 years, we’ve adapted and grown as times have changed. Evolution is the way of the future, and the key to survival in any industry. If regulatory compliance is necessary, we can address it. We have provided our services all across the country. And perhaps best of all for your peace of mind, if you are unable to reach us, it is possible for us to come to you instead.

We are a household name when it comes to the services we can provide. In recent years, with transportation logistics becoming more strictly regulated and enforced, new solutions must be sought out and found. Hazardous materials and dangerous goods are the most strictly regulated commodities, but of course even everyday consumer goods have become more complicated to transport.  Getting goods shipped to stores so they can end up on shelves as soon as possible is another challenge to overcome. Our regional service areas include Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, Harford County, Howard County, and Washington DC.

More About Our Services

The packing services we offer to our many customers and clients includes the following:

  • General Packing
  • Hazmat Packing
  • Dangerous Goods Packing
  • Military-Specification (Mil-Spec) Packing
  • Containerization

These are only a few of the packing services we offer, and of course, these are not the limits with which we have to work. Anything you need, just let us know!

Hazmat Services

Here at Airpack, we hold expertise in all aspects of hazardous materials handling. These aspects include:

  • Classification
  • Certification
  • Documentation
  • Packing
  • Marking
  • Labeling

What are hazardous materials? Hazardous materials are defined as articles or substances that when transported can pose some sort of risk. These risks are significant, and can harm health, safety, or property. There are many international and domestic rules pertaining to the transportation of these materials. At the same time, these rules are frequently changing. Not only will we keep up to date on them, we can adapt quickly to make sure these changes are accounted for. We will ensure your cargo meets all standards and regulations that it will need to clear, whether those standards and regulations are put in place by carriers or regulatory agencies. As always, we will keep you informed throughout the entire process so you know what is going on with your cargo protocol-wise, from point of origin to final delivery. As part of our hazmat services, we will also handle emergency response services, accommodations for perishable products, containerization according to proper regulations, and also consulting on all of the above matters.

Military Specification (Mil-Spec) Services

Our mil-spec packing services are also available. We offer these services to contractors, federal government entities, and of course the Department of Defense (DoD). The DoD also requires an additional layer of specification for packing and marking contract requirements. Military specifications involve multiple types of volatile cargo, such as chemicals, explosives, ammunition, and other such materials that the military depends upon. We hold long-standing relationships and an outstanding record handling these sensitive materials, for bases around Harford County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Baltimore. Our proximity to Washington DC is another major factor in our success.

Transportation Consulting & Coordinating Services

Now then, how do our consulting and coordinating services work? We will handle research to best maximize your efficiency when it comes to your packing and logistical needs. We also understand that since transporting dangerous or sensitive items are both time-consuming and frustrating, we can reduce that strain. We will help you coordinate the transportation needs for your products, dangerous or sensitive. We will also be happy to provide pick-up and delivery services, if necessary.

We have specific knowledge of exceptions, exemptions, and approvals with which to provide relief from typical transportation regulations. Another point of faith in our services is this – our packing engineering standards are impeccable. We meet strict compliance standards from both the International Marine Underwriters Association and the American Institute of Marine Underwriters. And, as always, your valuable cargo is precious to us as well, and as such, it is insurable.

Diverse Range of Packing Services

Whatever mode of transport your goods and cargo require, we can prepare them for you. As we carry and utilize a diverse range of packing products, we can be ready for anything. Of course, we will also meet any carrier and regulatory agency requirements that may come up, whether the mode of transport you need is by air, ocean, ground, or rail. Both inner and outer engineering specifications can be met for the following, and beyond:

  • Preservation materials for commercial, industrial, and military products.
  • Intermediate and exterior fiberboard graded materials.
  • Anti-static specific materials
  • Packaging preparation solutions
  • Bar coding (2 and 3 dimensional)
  • RFID (passive and active)
  • Sub-zero inventory capabilities
  • Inventory spreadsheet accountability (pick, pack, and ship)
